My Hero Academia Teases Info On Season 4 With New Opening & Ending Theme Song

My Hero Academia’s anime just finished up one of the most significant arcs of the story – the Shie Hassaikai arc, with a massive upgrade to Izuku’s battle power. Following the events of the manga, after a brief Remedial Course arc, the upcoming episodes will kick off the Cultural Festival arc.

Episode 78 of the series, titled “Win Those Kids’ Hearts,” marks the starting of a new arc with new opening and ending themes.

The new opening theme, titled “Star Maker,” is performed by KANA-BOON, and the new ending theme, titled “Shout Baby,” is performed by Ryokuousyoku Syakai.

Ending Theme Song

Following the pattern of all shonen theme songs, the new opening and ending song of season 4 gives us flashes of what’s to come, and frankly, it’s a little confusing. We are already halfway through the fourth season of the show, and the amount of information given in the ending song does not add up.

The ending theme showcases plot points from the Pro Hero arc of the manga, featuring a young Toga, Hawks, and Mirko. Other than the Heroes Rising movie, Hawks was not supposed to make an appearance in the anime until the Pro Heroes arc, which is what makes it confusing.

Currently, the anime is in the Remedial Course mini-arc, shortly after which we will get the Cultural Festival arc from the manga.

After the Cultural Festival arc comes to a close, the Pro Hero arc will start, which will show us the new hero rankings after All Might’s retirement and introduce us to many new Pro Heroes.

The Todoroki family will be a big focus of the story from here on out as it will shape the future of the series. But all of this cannot happen in the nine episodes left in season 4.

It is more likely that season 4 will end in a cliffhanger leading up to the Pro Heroes arc just as season 3 ended on a cliffhanger for the Shie Hassaikai arc. The inclusion of Hawks into this cliffhanger will be interesting to see as the animators do not follow the manga completely.
