Season 6 was a significant one for ‘My Hero Academia.’ It featured the most extensive battle in the series’ history, followed by the gloomy aftermath that nearly caused Deku to descend into utter darkness.

Despite the despair, Season 7 is poised to usher in a more hopeful conclusion to this franchise. In May 2023, the anime will turn eight years old, and the studio is celebrating 25 years in the industry, making this new season even more special.

Crunchyroll announced it will start streaming season 7 of ‘My Hero Academia’ on May 4, 2024. The company will also stream the four-episode ‘My Hero Academia Memories compilation special’ on April 6. Unfortunately, the series will be streamed worldwide except in Asia.

Season 7 of the anime was announced on March 25, 2023, following the conclusion of season 6. The new season will commence with episode 139 and cover the “Star and Stripe,” “U.A. Traitor,” and the initial parts of the “Final War” arcs from Kōhei Horikoshi’s manga.

Fans eagerly anticipate this season, which will continue the story of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School as they battle against the Paranormal Liberation Front.

The series is also spawning a fourth movie titled ‘My Hero Academia: You’re Next’ which will be released on August 2, 2024.

Romi Park will voice the character Star and Stripe in the new season. The new opening theme song “Tagatame” will be performed by artist TK from Ling Tosite Sigure.

There is currently limited information about the staff of the new season, but we expect more details to be released as we draw closer to the premiere. The main cast from the previous season will return.

Until now, Kenji Nagasaki was the Chief Director and Masahiro Mukai held the main directing position. Season 7 will now be directed by Naomi Nakayama (Steins; Gate). She is not new to MHA, having directed Season 4’s premiere, among other credits.

Season 7 will conclude the series, which makes it emotional for the fans. We expect the studio to deliver high-quality content that will ensure Midoriya’s legacy lives on even after his journey ends.
