In episode 8 of My Hero Academia, season 6, titled ‘League of Villains vs. U.A. Students,’ the students try their best to stop Gigantomachia. They plan to use sedatives on him. Since they cannot inject the sedatives, Momo intends to give them through the mouth of Gigantomachia.
The fight between League of Villians and U.A students was exciting to watch. We could see how good of a leader Momo is. Gigantomachia is really strong as he does not fall asleep even after taking sedatives and proceeds to fight the heroes. Shigaraki attacks Gran Torino and aims the quirk-killing drug toward Aizawa.
Episode 9 Speculation
Episode 9 is titled ‘Katsuki Bakugo: Rising.’
Since Shigaraki punches Gran Torino causing him to bleed, it might have caused fatal injuries to him. We don’t know yet whether Gran Torino will survive or not. We even saw a glimpse of his past which might be shown in more detail in the upcoming episodes.
Shigaraki shot the Quirk-killing drug, aiming at Aizawa. If Aizawa loses his Quirk, it will be tough for the heroes to fight Shigaraki. Aizawa would probably dodge it one way or the other.
Episode 9 is much awaited.

No, episode 9 of My Hero Academia is not in break this week. It will be aired as scheduled. No delay has been announced so far.
Recap of Episode 8
Momo asks the U.A students to be prepared to stop Gigantomachia, marching towards the city. Tentacole detects Gigantomachia to be about 25 meters tall. Momo had seen blue flames coming from his back, the same ones used by Aizawa’s attacker back in the woods.
Therefore, she confirms the presence of the League of Villians on Gigantomachia’s back. Depending on the size of the Gigantomachia, Momo estimates using 30 liters of sedatives to put him to sleep.
They plan to put the sedatives inside Gigantomachia’s mouth since injecting it would not be easy. Juzo uses his Quirk to soften the ground according to Gigantomachia’s size to trap him. Minoru assures Mina that Midnight is not someone to be trounced and is alive.
Gigantomachia is trapped, and the students try their best to hold him down. The student outnumbered the villains and started attacking them.
Kaminari plans to unleash all his electricity on the villains but is attacked by Mr. Compress at the last minute. Gigantimachia blows away the sedatives that were aimed toward his mouth.
Dabi uses the air blown to spread his flames around to prevent the heroes from approaching. Mt. Lady opens his mouth with great difficulty while Mina, with an armor of acid which protects her from fire, proceeds to put the sedative in Gigantomachia’s mouth but fails.
Red Riot saves Mina from Gigantomachia’s attack and successfully throws the sedative into Gigantomachia’s mouth.
Meanwhile, Shigaraki is knocked down on the ground. His father told him that heroes hurt their families to save others. According to Shigaraki, heroes ignore things they fail to protect.
Aizawa tells them to finish Shigaraki off quickly. Endeavor asks Shigaraki to surrender, but Shigaraki proceeds to attack Endeavor, only to be stopped by Gran Torino.
Shigaraki punches through Gran Torino’s chest, which angers Deku, and he holds Shigaraki down for Endeavor to land a final blow on him.
Deku uses One For All 100%, Wyoming Smash to prevent Shigaraki from using the Quirk-killing drug on Aizawa. Shigaraki feels he can overcome anything while biting Deku’s arm, which nullifies Deku’s attack.
