My Hero Academia Manga Gives Insights into Dabi’s Past

With an expanding universe in My Hero Academia, many new characters have been introduced. However, we have yet to get details on many existing characters. This has lead to fan theories regarding some characters, and one of the more prominent ones is Dabi’s true identity.

Initially introduced after the death of Hero Killer: Stain, Dabi has been a part of the league of villains for quite some time. However, Chapter 249 ends with Endeavor placing food in front of his elder son’s shrine, wishing that Toya was there to help him manage the family. There is speculation that Dabi may be the missing Toya Todoroki.

However, there has been very little information regarding the origin of this fiery villain. Even after the latest arc focusing on the league of villains, new details on Dabi has been next to none. Still, with the information released in the latest chapter of the series, it is strongly speculated that Dabi is a member of the Todoroki Family.

Toya Todoroki was introduced initially in Chapter 39 of the series. Having a wildly different childhood than Shoto, Toya was the eldest son of Endeavor. There is new information on the members of the Todoroki family scattered in the series; however, Toya has not been explored at all.

With the next chapter, hopefully the story delves a bit deeper into Dabi’s true identity and it’s connection with what actually happened to Toya long ago. However, as all theories go, this one may be entirely off the mark, as we never know what Horikoshi has in store for us.
