My Hero Academia’s second feature film, My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising is going to debut on 20th December and the hype is real. A brand new Promotional Video was released on Sunday and it features quite a substantial upgrade to Izuku’s battle power.
The third promotional video for the movie teases the fact that Izuku will be using One for All at 100% capacity at some point in the movie.
The movie revolves around a class trip for Class 1-A that changes from a fun experience to an all-out battle when mysterious villains holding multiple quirks attack. The latest promotional video teases some of the action sequences of the mayhem and amidst all of it Izuku is seen preparing to use his quirk at 100%. In the past, we’ve seen Izuku use his quirk as a whole up to 20%, barring the fight with Muscular where Izuku uses a 1,000,000% SMASH to take down the villain and save the day.
Using One for All at higher power percentages has to lead to Izuku damaging his body, and his superiors have always advised him not to rush into battles with his power. Despite this, some event in the movie has pushed Izuku to such a depth of hopelessness that the only way he sees out is to use all of his power. The hero in training has a long way to go before he can use the quirk as well as his predecessor, All Might.
