The raw scans of Chapter 390 of My Hero Academia have been released. Chapter 390 is titled ‘Shoto Todoroki Rising.’
The chapter begins with Iida reaching his limit and telling Shouto he can only carry him so far. Shoto propels himself after thanking Iida and reaches transonic speed.

He then apologizes to Rei for all the abuse, to Fuyumi for pushing all the responsibilities onto her, and to Natsuo for abandoning him. When he goes to say something to Shouto, he just mumbles, “I’m sorry…” and apparently Shoto loses consciousness.
Toga sees that the flames have gone out, and she gets teary, wondering if Touya was able to smile.

Shoto Todoroki has finally made his appearance speeding through buildings and the battlefield as he finally reaches the area of the fight. He is the only hope all the people have anymore.
I. Shoto stops the explosion.
While this is a highly unfavorable way to end Toya, it is likely considering the number of people still in the blast area who would die on his explosion, which cannot happen for narrative reasons and the way the manga has always been written. In this case, Shoto could use his ice quirk to freeze Toya entirely and bring the explosion to a stop.
II. Toya’s death
Either way, there is no probability that Toya will survive this. Already disintegrated beyond cracks and nearing just ash, Toya’s death is coming up within the following few chapters. However, the circumstances and the number of people he will take with him is the question.

All the heroes in the blast region continue to try and evacuate in their panic while the whole world watches from the eyes of the reporters. Children everywhere pray for the heroes to survive. In the shape of Shoto Todoroki, hope comes flying through the sky.
