The chapter starts with All Might sensing Izuku Midoriya’s conversation with the One For All predecessors. Hawks and Best Jeanist approach him and we find out that Izuku is doing well and will be up soon. Following the thread about One for All, Hawks asks All Might about the connection between One For All and Izuku.
He wants to know the truth before things get worse, as they now need to worry about fighting both villains and society’s expectations of them. All Might, recognizing he can’t keep the secret anymore, agrees to tell them everything about One for All and All for One.
The scene switches to a press conference where Endeavor reveals the full truth behind Dabi’s confession and his family’s past. Hawks clarifies to the confused press that despite Best Jeanist’s death being faked so he could infiltrate the League of Villains as a spy, all of the rest of the allegations are true. He also explains that he had no other choice but to kill Twice as his Double Quirk would’ve been too dangerous if left unchecked.
The press does not respond positively to this honesty and are angered by the heroes attitude. Best Jeanist adds that due to the significant amount of heroes resigning, it’s become harder to protect the public so they have started a plan for protecting the civilians inside U.A. High, and other hero program campuses by using them as evacuation shelters.
The press question whether just living in shelters with no path forward will be of any use, but Endeavor pipes in that it is with his declaration to “Just watch me.”
The scene switches to the students of Class 1-A. All of them are surprised by personalized letters from Izuku, confessing the truth behind One For All and that he must leave because of it. His class reacts in confusion, while Ochaco is clearly upset.
Later, in an unknown city, a lone and dejected Izuku unenthusiastically notices a big villain attacking.
2. Chapter 306 Speculations/Predictions
I. Prison Escapees
Shigaraki successfully broke AFO out of Tartarus in chapter 297. Alongside AFO, several other prisoners made their way out of this maximum-security prison.
With Muscular, Overhaul, and several others breaking free, it is more than likely that they will appear in front of their old nemesis again. This will result in a moment where the students of UA will be able to demonstrate just how much they have grown.
II. A Brand New Quirk
Chapter 296 showed us Deku awakening yet another quirk passed down from his predecessors. This quirk, known as Danger Sense, is the fourth quirk to manifest inside of Deku’s body.
Undoubtedly, Deku will soon train this quirk to get it under control so that he may use it with ease. A quirk to sense incoming danger will be very helpful in judging scenarios as well as responding to incoming attacks.

We pick up with Nana’s question from chapter 304. “Can you kill Shigaraki for me?” Nana explains that all of the predecessors are in sync with Izuku’s emotions and can feel that he doesn’t want to kill Shigaraki. They are worried that in the decisive moment, his emotions may take over and his resolve will falter.
Shigaraki is one of those who are far beyond help and cannot be saved anymore.
With his muffled speech, Izuku replies that he has often encountered villains that were so driven by hatred that he had no choice but to fight them. In Shigaraki’s case, he knows what caused his trauma.
While speaking, Izuku starts to form a mouth and says that despite the fact that Shigaraki has harmed and killed those around him, he sees him as someone who needs to be saved. One for All is a power made to help people, not to kill them.
When they connected during the battle, Izuku could feel a child inside of Shigaraki who is scared and alone. Maybe he will have to resort to fighting at the end, but as things stand, Izuku wants to save Shigaraki no matter what.
Taken aback by his answer, the predecessors commend Izuku for his resolve and apologize for testing him in such a manner. They also commend Toshinori for picking Izuku as his successor.
The chapter ends as the spotlight goes to the unnamed people facing the wall. They are called upon to help Izuku “unleash his full power.”
