Around 30 chapters before this current one, Shigaraki was taken in by Dr. Ujiko for his experiment. He told Shigaraki that he would boost his powers with the help of science and it looks like he just delivered very strongly.
Raw scans for chapter 272 of My Hero Academia were recently released. The scans show the terrifying awakening of Shigaraki’s new powers as he crumbles an insanely large area, engulfing many pro heroes in the process…with just one hand.
The chapter starts with people performing evacuations after the fight in the hospital. We see Deku, who has suddenly frozen in place because the vestige of the first user of One for All speaks to him. With a terrified expression, he looks at the hospital, which seems normal from the outside.
Shigaraki Wakes Up!
On the inside, Shigaraki has woken up. The Nomus inside the hospital has been taken care of, and the heroes are assisting the injured. This is when Shigaraki starts using his powers to crumble away anything and everything.
Many heroes get caught in it, and a few — Aizawa, Present Mic, etc. make it out in the nick of time. Sadly Crust and a few unnamed heroes are unable to make it out and are crumbled.
The decay spreads out of the hospital to the neighboring area and even to the mountains. We see people panicking and performing evacuations even faster now, to save as many as possible. However, Shigaraki seems unstoppable.
Deku vs Shigaraki
Soon we see that Shigaraki has one arm touching the floor and the other holding X-Less’ cape. All this destruction was caused by just one of his arms.
Deku goes into 45% mode and tells people to run, which implies he may take on Shigaraki.
