Anime that focus primarily on the daily lives of protagonists like The Way of The Househusband and Kotaro Lives Alone have a following of their own. Often these take the comedy route, meaning the slice-of-life series consists of funny characters and stories.
Mameko Mamekichi’s Daily NEET Life consists of less-then-two-minute episodes which show the main character Mameko in her daily life. This does sound boring, but strange things do happen in her apparently dull routine.
As per the official website, the anime series will get a second season. A new promotional video and visual were also revealed that displayed the premiere date of the new season i.e., May 17.
In the 15-second teaser, Mameko can be seen with her pets – her dog Komachi, and her cats Tabi, Simba, and Mero.

Being a short-episode series, this looks like a fun series that you can casually watch to take a breather. If you ask me, you won’t even realize that you’ve watched three episodes in about five minutes.

Mameko Mamekichi’s Daily NEET Life (Mamekichi Mameko NEET no Nichijō) is a series of TV anime shorts. The original concept is by Mameko Mamekichi, who also writes an autobiographical essay manga on their blog.
The first season premiered in October 2022 on Fuji TV. A second season will arrive on May 17, 2023.
Mameko is a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) who lives with her dog Komachi and her cats Tabi, Simba, and Melo. Although she promises to do her best, she ends up slouching. The series shows her daily life which seems bland and strange at the same time.
