On Saturday, at the event “Lycoris Recoil Café Presents After Party! Tomorrow is Another Day”, the staff announced that a new animated Lycoris Recoil project has been approved and is in the works.

As of now, only the announcement of a new project has been made. There is no clue as to what the format of the new project will be. The fact that would be animated means that it will possibly be a television anime, an OVA, an ONA series, or even a film.
The Lycoris Recoil anime premiered on July 2, 2022, with Crunchyroll streaming it in English dub and subtitles. A-1 Pictures produced the series with Shingo Adachi doing his directorial debut. Asaura wrote the scripts and Imigimuru designed the characters. Shūhei Mutsuki composed the music.
Hopefully, the new animation also turns out to be an anime series. If it has to be a film, it does need to at least clarify what happens to Majima.
