AnimeJapan 2020 was scheduled to take place from March 21-24 at Tokyo’s Big Sight.
However, it was canceled due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, as large social gatherings are to be avoided amidst this outbreak.
One of the attractions of AnimeJapan is which manga gets to receive an anime adaptation based on public polls. Approximately 180,000 people cast the votes during the period of 1st-16th February, and the top 10 manga are out:

The World Health Organization declared an emergency on January 30 January. As of Wednesday, the WHO reported that there are 400,000+ infected individuals worldwide. Two thousand seven hundred eighteen individuals have died from the disease in China. The WHO reported one death due to COVID-19 in Japan proper.
