Every Naruto and Shippuden Movie Ranked, from Worst to the Best!

Naruto is one of the longest-running anime series of all time. It is a fan favorite and a classic. It is also considered to be a part of the ‘Big 3’. It is no wonder that the anime has got multiple feature films under its belt.

While most of the films are non-canon and add nothing to the source material, some of them are still very entertaining owing to their unique storylines and animation while others aren’t worth the time.

Now, let’s find out the best and worst Naruto films based on their entertainment factor!

Disclaimer: This list doesn’t include Boruto: Naruto The Movie since that is considered to be a part of the Boruto series!

There are 10 Naruto and Shippuden movies and most of them are filler. The movies do not contribute to the original story and are stand-alone. However, some of the filler movies like Road to Ninja are still very entertaining to watch.

10. Naruto The Movie: Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom

Naruto The Movie: Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom is the third Naruto movie which was released on 5 August 2006. Team 7, along with Rock Lee, travel to the Land of the Moon to protect a young prince and his father.

It follows the same tropes as Naruto’s films and doesn’t really add anything to the story. It is also not very engaging making it one of the worst-ranked Naruto movies.

9 . Naruto The Movie: Legend Of The Stone Of Gelel

Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel got its theatrical release on August 6, 2005. The movie features a team of Naruto, Sakura, and Shikamaru who are supposed to return a lost ferret to the village. But, as expected, things don’t go as planned.

The story then takes a bizarre turn as Naruto and his teammates find themselves in the middle of a fight between a group of soldiers and some travelers. They also introduce a lost civilization which does not contribute much to the source material.

All in all, it isn’t a very investing movie making it the least impressive Naruto movie.

7. Naruto Shippuden The Movie: Blood Prison

Naruto Shippuden: Blood Prison is a depressing movie. It’s dark and gloomy which is something we don’t see a lot in Naruto. Naruto is thrown into jail for attempting to assassinate the Raikage and nobody stops the arrest.

The movie then reveals that this was all a plot to catch the final villain. It is kind of a frustrating movie to watch since nobody even bothers revealing Naruto about their ‘secret plan’. They could have at least clued him in.

What’s unique about this movie is the great attention the writers have given to the plot. The story doesn’t feel like a filler and is very well done ranking it much higher on the list than the other films.

2. Road To Ninja: Naruto The Movie

Road to Ninja is an extremely fun movie to watch. It is a fan-fiction that was turned into a movie. It answers a lot of our “What-ifs”. What if Naruto’s parents were alive? What if Hinata wasn’t this shy girl but was someone a lot bolder? All our questions are answered in this movie.

Sakura and Naruto ended up caught in a Genjutsu world where Naruto’s parents are still alive and Sakura’s aren’t. It’s a great movie that explores all the unfamiliar elements and adds just enough sentiment to delight the fans.
