Kyoto Animation to Revive ‘Tamako Market’ for its 10th Anniversary

Kyoto Animation has given us a lot of great stuff over the years, but Tamako Market is one that still stands out.

The studio’s popular yet underrated original series might have ended over ten years ago, but it still has a fanbase that looks forward to getting new media on it.

Lucky for us, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Tamako Market anime, and Kyoto Animation has decided to bring it back.

The official Twitter handle of the anime posted a visual featuring Tamako and Dera at the Usagiyama Shopping District. However, it didn’t specify the format or type of project it will be, and fans speculate if it’s a sequel in the form of a film or TV series.

Kyoto Animation itself hasn’t revealed much regarding the project other than its return, which means that it will be something grand. We might get a year-long celebration or maybe several mini-projects instead of a major one.

Regardless, we are just too happy that our favorite series and characters will return in some form. I really hope the studio keeps the same animation and art style from 2013 just for the sake of old fans.

Honestly, it feels unreal that it has already been a decade since Tamako Market came out and made our days a lot more lively with its story.

If you still haven’t watched Tamako Market, then you absolutely should. What’s more, is that winter is the perfect time to enjoy this anime while tucked in your cozy blankets to make the experience even better.

I’m pretty sure you’ll fall in love with it just like I did.
