Kubo Tite’s Burn the Witch Gets Anime Movie For Autumn!

Last week Bleach made a prominent announcement on its return, which put life into a lot of dead fans. Bleach’s final arc: Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is finally getting an anime adaptation after eight years.

However, in the meantime, Tite Kubo showed he still got it when he released a one-shot Bleach spin-off manga in 2018 called Burn the Witch. The manga is based on the lives of two witches working for the Western Branch of Soul Society, in London.

It has been announced that Burn the Witch is getting an anime movie adaptation this autumn.

While Burn the Witch’s story isn’t a follow up to Bleach, it’s still set in the same world. It is set up in Reverse London, a parallel world that introduces the concept of witches and dragons in the Bleach universe. 

About Burn the Witch

Burn the Witch is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. It was first published in Weekly Shōnen Jump as a one-shot chapter in July 2018. A serialized version will start in the summer of 2020.

The story of Burn the Witch takes place in the Bleach universe and follows two witches, Noel Niihashi and Nini Spangle, working for the Western Branch of Soul Society, located in Reverse London.
