Knights of Sidonia Season 3 is the continuation of the Netflix Original anime adapted from Tsutomu Nihei’s sci-fi manga. It premiered in Spring 2014 and concluded in June 2015 after Season 2 ended. The story of Knights of Sidonia takes place in the future where humanity is on the brink of extinction due to monsters called Gauna. After destroying Earth, the Guanas have scattered all over space, hunting down humans who escaped in large seed ships.
Sidonia is one such seed ship that is now under the attack of Guanas. It is now up to Tanikaze and his fellow soldiers to save Sidonia. In Season 2, Tanikaze and the team decided upon a new mission: eradicating the Guana nest.

1. Release Date
Season 3: Knights of Sidonia has finally received an official announcement. After Season 2 concluded, a new movie, was announced in July 2020. However, it got delayed due to covid-19 pandemic.
This new movie, Knights of Sidonia: Love Woven in the Stars is actually the season 3 of the series and is going to premiere in theaters on June 4, 2021 and will be 1 hour 50 minutes long.
