Koga dominates the second half of the battle as well, taking Xia Ji down as calmly as he had joined the fight.
Koga’s growth is surprising to not only the readers but the characters as well. His sudden spikes in strength are setting a dangerous standard for the rest of the characters, we can only imagine what his future opponents would be like.

Xia seems to have technically lost his match against Koga at this point with no windows for recovery anywhere in sight at that point.

4. Recap of Chapter 158
The chapter opens with Koga looking back at his past self and how he was utterly decimated by the very same person who is before him.
It gave Koga the boost he needed to go on and deal the finishing blow but Xia Ji was not finished yet.
Koga promises himself that he will not run away from fights anymore and charges at Xia with all his might, leading with a kick to his gut that sends him gasping for breath.
Xia is surprised by how fast Koga has grown in the minuscule amount of time since they last faced off.
The next panel takes us to Xia Yan and Shen Wulong who seem to be unfazed by the information about Xia Ji’s current whereabouts or his state and are enjoying themselves at a Chinese restaurant in Japan.
We are immediately taken back to the ongoing fight where Koga is overpowering Xia Ji but not for long as he pulls out a technique that utilizes his whole body like a whip leading the power up to his fingertips, a powerful move indeed.
This new move manages to slash Koga’s arms and immediately follows that attack up with a kick. Koga not only manages to block it but he does so with a punch of his own that breaks what little composure Xia Ji had built up.
Backed into a corner, Xia Ji pulls out that secret weapon thing he had been hiding in his mouth all along but is rendered useless as that too is countered by Koga before it can do anything whatsoever.
The block is followed up by Koga’s “Crescent Moon Kick” which acts as the final nail in the coffin for the battle.
Koga’s resolve and tenacity won him a fight that was seemingly impossible for someone at his level.
