In chapter 157, the battle between our protagonist Koga and Xia has already begun.

As per Ohma’s conditions, Xia would be let go without any repercussions if he managed to win against Koga. The battle, like every other official battle in the series, has but one single rule, fight however you want and win without killing your opponent.

With stakes high for Xia in the battle, he approaches this fight without much thought as he believes Koga to be an inexperienced chump but if what we’ve seen for the past 150 or so chapters is right then he might be in for an unpleasant surprise.

1. Chapter 158 Discussion

Xia is, by character, a coward in the truest sense of the word but, surprisingly enough, has the skills of a true fighter. The end of the previous chapter saw both of the fighters extremely fired up as the real battle will begin now.

The next chapter should have the battle continue with both Koga and Xia going above and beyond in the brutality of their showdown.

Xia’s hidden sense of pride is now on full display, and his life is at stake. We could very well see a plot twist here with Xia taking down Koga and possibly taking him hostage to use as a trump card against Ohma.

Most likely, we will see Koga take the win here as well, making him grow as a fighter, but the plot twist might shake things up and increase the intensity of an already intense arc.

Chapter 158 of the Kengan Omega manga has been released on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. The chapter title has not been leaked yet.

4. Recap of Chapter 157

The chapter marks the beginning of the fray between Koga and Xia, with the two of them standing opposite each other.

It is revealed there that Xia, has some sort of a secret weapon in his mouth, attached to one of his teeth which he counts as the ace up his sleeve.

The battle begins with Ohma threatening him that if he tries to run away, it wouldn’t end well for him, and with that, the battle begun.

Right from the get-go, Xia pulls out what looks like a shank from his posterior to attack Koga but instantly gets countered with a followed-up sucker punch.

Xia doesn’t take kindly to the attack as he follows up as soon as he gets up, but with his insane foresight, Koga breaks his attack with yet another punch to the face before he could even get a chance to go through with his punch.

Insulted, a fired-up Xia goes all out with his punches at Koga but is unable to connect a single one.

We are then taken to a flashback to Xia’s past, where we come to know that Xia, who was about to become the leader of the Worms after his father’s death was the one who orchestrated it in the first place but Shen Wulong, “The Connector,” appointed his twin, Xia Yan as the next leader.

The memories only make Xia angrier as he moves ahead to rush another set of attacks but Koga is no less adept as he, once again counters Xia’s moves sending him reeling.

That is where we can see Xia lose all semblance of tact and slyness as his pride resurfaces, mixed in with his crazy cockiness he claims that Koga is no match for him, the ruler of the underworld. Koga simply brushes his provocations to the side, claiming that he would be the one winning there.

In true Kengan fashion, the real fight hasn’t even begun, but the stakes are higher than ever before.

Kengan Omega manga is published by MangaONE & Ura Sunday (Shogakukan). So far, there is no official way to read the manga online except through Comikey, which releases chapters weekly but is only free for the first 24hours and becomes paid after.
