In Chapter 124, everyone gets surprised at how easily Fei takes Wakatsuki’s point-blank range punch. He gets back up on his feet after the third count without sustaining any real damage.
It’s clear that Fei has not only master the Niko style but also evolved the techniques to a whole new level. He combined the Redirection kata with the Water kata; that’s something even Ohma cannot pull off.
If that wasn’t enough of Wakatsuki, Fei switches to the Flame kata and startles him with his Flash Fire technique. It’s the same move that Ohma used in the Kengan Annihilation Tournament, but Fei’s movements look a bit different.

Just when Wakatsuki was getting a hold of the attacks, Fei combines Water kata with the Flame kata, thereby bring the mighty Wakatsuki down on his feet.
Despite all that, Wakatsuki waits for the perfect opportunity to sync with Fei’s timing. The fight goes on for a while, and finally, Wakatsuki manages to grab Fei, and he strikes him from a position where the Redirection kata is ineffective.
Thus, Fei endures one after another painful blow without changing the flow of power. In other words, Wakatsuki has developed anti-Niko style tactics with precision.

Things were finally getting interesting, but Wakatsuki makes a grave mistake of tempting Fei to use the Possessing Spirit technique.
