Junji Ito Maniac’s Third Promo Features Ending Song, All 20 Stories! 

The spine-chilling horror anthology series Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre is arriving in a week. To keep you excited, the series has released a new promo, giving you a full picture of what the series would look like. 

On January 13, 2023, the official website for the horror series released its third trailer, which previews all 20 stories ‘to be animated for the first time’. The video also previews the ending song for the series, which is ‘Iu Toori’ (As Was Said) by JYOCHO.

JYOCHO also performed the ending song ‘Tagai no Uchuu’ (Mutual Universe) for the previous installment Junji Ito: Collection.

Shinobu Tagashira is directing the series and also designing the characters. He also directed the previous installment Junji Ito: Collection. Studio DEEN is in charge of producing the series. Yuki Hayashi composed the background music. 

Short horror stories are really fun to watch as they can be quite intense and full of variety like Netflix’s ‘Love, Death & Robots’. For someone who is into horror, this series needs to be a must-watch as it contains Junji Ito’s bestselling works.

Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre is an upcoming anime that will be released in 2023. It features a collection of some of Junji Ito’s best horror works.

Some of the stories include Unendurable Labyrinth, The Long Hair in the Attic, Bullied, and others. Even some stories from Tomie, Soichi and The Hanging Balloons have been included.
