“Thank you for your continued support of Jujutsu Kaisen. It sucks that we often have to hear news that we dread hearing about each day. It’s honestly a miracle that people can enjoy my works, even as reality continues to slowly but surely suffocate us.

I will still draw nonsensical things that make no sense. Gege-chan would be so happy if you could stay with me and continue to enjoy my work for about another year (maybe). – Akutami Gege”

Although the author has not directly said that the manga will end in 2023, it does indicate the time period. Earlier, in an interview in February 2021, Akutami said that Jujutsu Kaisen would end in two years.

However, the second season of the anime has also been announced for a July 2023 release.

The manga originally began its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018. As of now, twenty-one volumes have been published and the manga is also available on their Manga Plus platform. Viz Media publishes the manga in English both physically and digitally.

Jujutsu Kaisen was adapted into an anime in October 2020 and ran for 24 episodes. The prequel manga, now titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0, was adapted into a movie in December 2021.

Despite the manga approaching its end, Jujutsu Kaisen would still be there as an animated series for some time. It would be exciting to see the curses and cursed techniques in motion, wouldn’t it?
