Isekai anime tend to overdo a lot when it comes to the plot, but Restaurant to Another World is a brilliant exception of the genre. The story is simple yet so engaging and earnest that you fall in love with it.

Season 1 left some of the fans feeling wholesome and craving delish meals. While the series doesn’t have a central storyline, it does have a consistent theme.

Each episode follows a particular character and how a mysterious restaurant changed their life. The light-hearted gourmet anime became popular enough to receive a second season, and I’m all here for it.

Restaurant to Another World season 2 unveiled its latest PV announcing the anime’s premiere on October 1, 2021.

The trailer depicts a normal day at the mysterious western restaurant, Nekoya, that welcomes customers from different worlds every Saturday. 

It features the restaurant owner Tenshu and the staff, Aletta and Kuro. Additionally, some characters from the previous season like Lionel and Victoria are also shown.

Moreover, the PV also previews the opening and ending themes of the upcoming season. The OP is called ‘Onnaji Kimochi’ (Same Feeling), performed by Kiyono Yasuno.

The ED is called ‘Samenai Mahō’ (Warmed-Over Magic), performed by Nao Tōyama, who also voices the new character, Hilda. Nao has previously played Chitoge Kirisaki in Nisekoi and Yui Yuigahama in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.

The franchise also unveiled a mesmerizing visual featuring the elf gourmand, Faldania. She is shown picking mushrooms in a forest as the restaurant door appears behind her.

About Restaurant to Another World

Restaurant to Another World is a Japanese light novel series written by Junpei Inuzuka, with illustrations by Katsumi Enami. Shufunotomo have released five volumes of the series since February 2015.

An anime television series adaptation by Silver Link aired from July 3 to September 18, 2017. A second season by OLM has been announced.

The Western Restaurant Nekoya is a restaurant situated in a mundane corner of an undisclosed Tokyo shopping district which offers a lot of Japanese versions of Western dishes.

It opens during usual business hours though closed during holidays and weekends. But secretly it is also open on Saturdays, as on this particular day it creates doorways to another world.
