After the phone call, Rion feels she has finally understood all the hints and reasons for contradictions and the true story behind the murder. She comes back to the room and reveals that it wasn’t a homicide at all but a suicide.

She is immediately met with doubts since her personality would never be so weak as to kill herself. However, someone completely controlled by Denjiro found themselves without someone to follow after his death and was trapped in a paradox that suicide was the only answer to.

She framed the suicide in a way that would look like murder so that the company does not take any public damage since she is the CEO. She also ensured that all her children had alibis and even screamed “Thief!” to ensure the police considered it a homicide.

Kotoko asks Rion to tell the Chairman herself since she was the one who deduced the final answer. They even decide that the priority of dividing the inheritance is no longer critical. The next day, she responds to her grandfather, who is glad to hear it and confirms they are correct.
