On December 18, the Animate Girls Festival 2022 event released a new promotional video and key visual for the television anime adaptation of Miyuki Tonogaya’s The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague manga.
The video reveals more staff members, the ending theme song artists, and the January 4 premiere date. The anime will air on Tokyo MX, ABC TV, BS Asahi, and Nagoya Broadcasting Network.
The newly announced staff members include Miyako Kano and Yuji Ushijima as chief animation directors, Eiji Iwase as art director, Tomomi Saito as composing director of photography, and Shun Tokuda as editor.
The show’s ending theme song “Rinaria” is performed by Nowlu and the show’s opening theme song “Frozen Midnight” is performed by Takao Sakuma.
The anime stars Yui Ishikawa as Fuyutsuki, Chiaki Kobayashi as Himuro, Yumi Uchiyama as Komori, Kouki Uchiyama as Saejima, Ayane Sakura as Otonashi, Shugo Nakamura as Katori, Hiyori Nitta as Yukimin.
The anime is a workplace fantasy romantic comedy and revolves around Himuro-kun, who is a descendant of the Snow Woman from Japanese folklore. The story follows him and his aloof yet eccentric colleague Fuyutsuki who he has feelings for.
Himuro-kun tends to freeze nearby objects or summon snowstorms when he is nervous, such as when he is around his secret crush Fuyutsuki. However, Fuyutsuki is nearly completely oblivious to anything around her.
The anime is directed by Mankyu at ZERO-G and Liber, with Tomoko Konpari writing the series composition and Miyako Kano as the character designer.

The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague is a manga by Miyuki Tonogaya. It started serialization in 2019, and received an anime adaptation in January 2023.
The fantasy romance story involves Himuro, a boy who is a descendant of Yuki-Onna (a spirit depicted in Japanese folklore). He has a tendency to freeze things around him and summon snowstorms when he is agitated.
Himuro has a crush on his colleague Fuyutsuki who is an eccentric and mysterious woman who seems oblivious to Himuro’s powers.
