Disney and Marvel rumoured to be developing a Hulk vs. Wolverine movie. The future of the Hulk is virtually unknown in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hulk is one of the original Avengers and his arc probably came to an end after Avengers: Endgame.
But interestingly, Mark Ruffalo is interested in playing the Hulk/ Bruce Banner in the future too, given the opportunity. Although he expressed his liking for the role, there is no confirmation about his or the characters future so far.
After the SDCC and D23 Disney Expo, there are no new revelations about Hulk’s future in MCU. She-Hulk is getting her own Disney+ series and Mark Ruffalo even congratulated She-Hulk, his gamma blood sister for entering the MCU on Twitter.
Hulk will be surely getting a cameo in She-Hulk, but that won’t quite cut it for the legion of Hulk fans. Moreover, the She-Hulk series will focus on the character of Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk, so hoping for any substantial or meaty developments centred around Bruce Banner is pointless.
The good news, however, is that Marvel and Disney may develop a Hulk vs. Wolverine movie in the future. The Hulk vs. Wolverine storyline is one of the most iconic storylines from the comic books and is shockingly violent and brutal. The story of these two battling each other has been told numerous times in comics and presenting them on the big screen will be some real fan service.
Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk is appreciated, but the lack of anger and violence that make the Hulk iconic along with the comedic twist in recent movies was not something that was universally applauded, to say the least despite the fact that many did actually enjoy it. Opinions about the Hulk have always been divided and the Mark Ruffalo era of the character is no different. Some loved him in Ragnarock and some really didn’t.
Hulk vs. Wolverine would be a superb way to introduce Wolverine into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans need the green smashing machine back in action, and Wolverine is possibly one of the best ways to make Hulk angry.
Just A Rather Very Intelligent System. I am a simple person inspired by simple things; in love with the Marvel and DC Cinematic Universe. I prefer being a man of fiction over action.
