The Harbiyah District in Assassin’s Creed Mirage has a total of six Gear Chests, each containing a piece of gear that will aid Basim in his journey through the bustling streets of Baghdad. One such Gear Chest can be found inside the Damascus Gate Prison. Here’s where the Gear Chest is located:
The Damascus Gate Prison Gear Chest is located inside the chamber, underneath the steps leading up to the prison’s front gate in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The guards near the chamber need to be defeated in order to unbar the door leading to the Gear Chest.
Before you locate the Gear Chest, it is recommended to mark the chest on the map by using Enkidu or by using your Eagle Vision to highlight it inside the chamber.
1. Drop Down to the Chamber on the Left Behind the Front Steps
Walk up the stairs leading to the Damascus Gate Prison. You’ll notice there are two guards present at the front of the gate. Since this is a restricted area, the guards will attack you on sight. Either eliminate these guards or distract them, then make your way to the left of the gate.
Drop down to the left side of the chamber, a pit-like area behind the steps, from where you need to unbar the door on the right side using your throwing knives. You’ll notice that a part of the metal grating covering the chamber is missing, leaving a small opening to throw your knife.
2. Use Throwing Knives to Unbar the Door on the Right Side of the Chamber
Through the small opening in the metal grating, you’ll be able to see the bar on the right side of the chamber from across the chest. Aim your throwing knife at the bar to unlock the door. The crosshair will turn red as soon as you correctly aim at the bar blocking the entrance to the Gear Chest.
Once you’ve unbarred the door, head over to the opposite side, which is the right side of the chamber. Now all you need to do is enter the chamber and loot the Gear Chest, which will be gold colored.
3. Damascus Gate Prison Gear Chest Reward
Opening the Damascus Gate Prison Gear Chest will reward you with the Zanji Uprising Sword (or a Zanji Uprising Sword Upgrade Schematic if you already own the sword), which has a base damage and defense of 60 and 35 respectively. The sword contains a Strike Back Perk which allows a player to deal 50 percent more damage with their next attack, after performing a Perfect Dodge.
