With subtle animation and good characters as leads, the series got mixed reviews at the start but picked the pace and was well-received later on, or we can say that the series got a “High Score.”
If you have watched the first two seasons of the show and are wondering about the third season, here’s everything you need to know.
1. Season 3 Release Date
The first season of the show released in 2018, and the second season released in 2019, with the last episode being aired on December 20, 2019.
There hasn’t been any official word whether the anime will be renewed for the third season or not. But all the signs seem to indicate that it will probably be making a return.
Rensuke Oshikiri, the creator of the manga, started publishing a whole new spin-off version of the anime titled ‘Hi-Score Girl DASH.’ So it is possible that in the future season three could be made out of that.
2. Season 3 Expected Plot/Storyline
There is no official news on the renewal of the show yet. So, the plot of season three remains a mystery as of now. The plot of the series is set in the 1990s when video games had just come into the picture and were the latest craze.
Sixth-grader Haruo Yaguchi wants to pursue becoming a professional gamer, and he is the best locally. But he gets crushed by Akira in Street Fighter 2, who is rich, pretty, and smart — as close as can be to a perfect girl.
Haruo loathed her because of her being better than him at the only thing he loved, Video Games.
3. Where To Watch High Score Girl?
The English dub of the series is available on Netflix worldwide.
There has been no release of a teaser or visuals regarding the third season of the series yet.
