Not only has she voiced Son Goku but also Gohan and Gotenks. It will be tough to imagine the Dragon Ball series without her voice and expressions.

Currently, she is voicing Goku in the Dragon Ball Super anime. She has also worked for other major anime like:

  • Doctor Kureha in One Piece
  • Asura in Asura
  • The narrator in Digimon Adventures

Although she likes to take on the roles of elderly women and grandmothers now, her career with some immortal characters will never be forgotten.

Animelab has posted a short video of Masako on Twitter to celebrate her birthday.

She is nicknamed “The Eternal Boy” by the Japanese media due to her outstanding and long-lasting work in the Dragon Ball series.

She has also received 2 Guinness world records for voicing Goku (longest time voicing a video game character).

Masako Nozawa has experience with live-actions as well. She also received an award at the 26th Japanese Movie Critics Awards ceremony for the Best Voice Actor category.
