Kadokawa Unveils New “Gushing Over Magical Girls” Teaser Visual!
Gushing Over Magical Girls is a new anime series that is set to premiere in 2024. The story focuses on Hiiragi Utena, who lives in a world where magical girls are an everyday sight!
Like every other girl, she dreams about being a magical girl. In a weird twist of events, however, she is forced to join an evil organization where she learns about her twisted and sadistic side.
Kadokawa released a new teaser visual and the 2024 premiere date for a fantasy-comedy anime based on Akihiro Ononaka’s Gushing Over Magical Girls manga. The cast and staff details are yet to be known.

This isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but it is a unique take on the “magical girl” theme. More often than not, stories with villains as protagonists are interesting. We have to wait and see the route this anime takes.

About Gushing over Magical Girls
‘Gushing Over Magical Girls’ is a magical girl manga series by Akihiro Ononaka. It was first serialized on Takeshobo’s Storia Dash website on March 29, 2019. An anime adaptation is scheduled for January 2024.
The story follows Hiiragi Utena, a middle-school girl who loves magical girls. She is approached by a mysterious doll-like figure who tells her she has magical powers. She agrees to be recruited but later discovers she has joined the evil forces.
Initially disillusioned, Utena discovers her new side and accepts her villainous personality.
