The first trailer for the ‘Great Pretender: Razbliuto’ anime has been released. The anime will be streamed in Japan on February 23 and screened in North American cinemas on January 9 and 10, 2024.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime in over 200 countries outside of China, and Manga Productions holds the master license for the anime in 16 countries in the Middle East. The anime is planned for release in the Middle East and South Africa at the same time as in Japan.

Fans are slightly disappointed due to the lack of the original cast of Great Pretender, but they’re willing to give the movie a chance. The release dates have puzzled some people since Japan is getting the movie later than North America.
With that being said, the movie gives off a ‘Cyberpunk: Endrunners’ vibe as the main character looks like Lucy. The animation and visuals are stunning, for which WIT Studio is famous. This movie is something you don’t want to miss.

‘Great Pretender: Razbliuto’ is an upcoming Japanese anime series created by WIT Studio and the sequel to Great Pretender. It is scheduled to premiere in 2024.
An advance screening event for the first 20 minutes of the anime was held at Anime NYC on November 18, 2023, during a panel with anime director Hiro Kaburagi, Wit Studio president George Wada and Production I.G producer Hitoshi Ito.
The story centres on Dorothy, a gifted swindler, who is supposedly dead after losing a game with a Shanghai organization. She finds herself in a small town in Taipei without any memory of her past. Chased by Taipei’s black society, Dorothy heads to Kyoto, but there, something awaits her.
