Funimation Warns Fans of Streaming Issues as it Schedules Maintenance Date

Funimation, one of the biggest anime streaming platforms, is now a savior for us otakus. With a huge collection of anime series and films, the site has steady traffic every day.

Of course, even major sites encounter problems. As it stands, Funimation is currently striving to fix some of the website’s issues to give fans a smoother viewing experience.

Funimation’s website has been displaying a warning message for some time to its viewers. 

It states that

Funimation will be undergoing planned maintenance on Monday, June 14th 9AM to 2PM UTC (4AM to 9AM CT). During this time, fans will experience a disruption of streaming services.

The maintenance period has been kept as short as possible and set at a time when most users might not be accessing their accounts. For those who will, there might be some complexities during streaming.

Is Funimation going to bring a change in their format or is it just to fix some bugs? We will not know till the procedure is completed. Rest assured, you will go back to a smoother-functioning website than before.

Fans have had some issues regarding the buffering and loading speed while trying to watch anime. Different problems about the catalog or regarding a specific series can also be found from time to time which is why the Funimation team is trying to fix these ASAP.

Recently, Funimation acquired AnimeLab, the New Zealand anime streaming service. From 17th June, the website will operate under Funimation’s name. Thus some big changes are currently going on with the streaming service.

SONY has already acquired Crunchyroll for a huge sum and now all major anime streaming platforms are under it. Aniplex, Funimation, Crunchyroll, and AnimeLab dominate most of the specific fields.

As soon as Funimation is done with the maintenance, you can happily go back to that episode of your anime that you were waiting to watch! So let’s wait and watch what big changes SONY brings to its subsidiary sites.
