No one would’ve guessed that we will be getting a whole new manga series on Fullmetal Alchemist’s 20th anniversary. But well, I do love some surprises, and I hope you do too because this manga is coming soon!

Hiromu Arakawa is set to start a new manga series in the Monthly Shounen Gangan magazine. The magazine’s next issue will be out on 12th July, and it will have some much-needed details on the series!

A rough sketch of the manga is making the rounds on the Internet. It looks like the upcoming manga will contain a more traditional or feudal Japanese story.

A boy is seen standing in the foreground with a bow and arrows with some looming figures in the background. Someone can also be seen in a cage-like setting. Some beasts in the background prove that the story will have a fantasy edge.

While all of these elements don’t make much sense now, they will all come together in a few days.

A Youtube live stream is supposed to announce Fullmetal Alchemist’s future projects on 12th July in commemoration of the project’s 20th anniversary. The new manga seems to be a part of the announcement, but there is still more information to be revealed.

Arakawa’s unique characters will be welcomed by fans with open arms as we all wait for any further sequel projects for Fullmetal Alchemist.
