The first part of the season 2 finale for Snowpiercer, TNT’s sci-fi drama, will be available for streaming through TNT on Saturday.
Revolving around the dystopian thriller film from Parasite director Bong Joon-ho, the series portrays the battle for survival among the passengers of the Snowpiercer. This huge, constantly-running train hauls Earth’s survivors after its surface has frozen over. Featuring Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, and breakout star Sam Otto, season 2 of TNT’s sci-fi drama premiered in January.
The season emphasizes an entirely new power battle that causes a hazardous rift as people split up between Layton and Wilford (who has a new train, tech, and game plan.) While Layton and Wilford battle for control of Snowpiercer, Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) steers the charge on a discovery that could change humanity’s destiny.
Season 2 also stars Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, and Steven Ogg.
Deadline reported that the first hour of Snowpiercer‘s two-hour season 2 finale would be available via TNT on Saturday. Though the entire finale won’t be available until it releases on Monday, March 29, the decision enables the show’s fans to watch the first half of the two-parter ahead of its second act.
Executive produced by Graeme Manson, the show overcame initial delays in its production to serve as one of TNT’s headline scripted shows since its first season debuted last May.
Already revived for a third season, Snowpiercer has attained new heights as the fierce conflict between Layton and Wilford compels the train’s passengers to choose sides. Meanwhile, Melanie continues her search to find a more stable solution to humanity’s ills and starts to make real progress. It’s full steam ahead on the world’s most dangerous train, as Snowpiercer shows no signs of putting the brakes on ahead of its season 2 finale.
