First Half of Attack on Titan Final Part is a Special! Release Date Out

Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan is ready for its series finale. The previous announcement about the final part further splitting into two halves does sting a bit. But we are still excited about how the battle between the Alliance and Eren will conclude.

On Thursday, the official website and Twitter for the Attack on Titan anime announced that the ‘first half’ of the final part would be a one-hour special. It will premiere on March 3 on NHK General.

A special series omnibus will be broadcast on NHK General from February 25 to February 28, compiling all 87 episodes of Attack on Titan in seven-part episodes.

The final season debuted in December 2020, with the first part running for 16 episodes. Funimation and Crunchyroll streamed the series on their platforms, with Funimation also releasing it in English dub in January 2021. The second part was released on January 9 and ran for 12 episodes.

Isayama’s manga was originally launched in 2009 in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine and ended its serialization in April 2021. The series is compiled into 34 tankobon volumes and is also published in English by Kodansha USA.
