The Los Angeles Chargers have gone and done it again! After releasing the anime schedule release video in 2022, they have gone the same route in 2023 as well. This video has completely taken over the internet for all the good reasons!

The artistic choice of releasing the schedule in the form of animation seems to have pleased the crowds and they want this to be an official form of releasing schedules every year.

There were hell lot of references to important players and coaches but also references to some of the most known anime like Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, and a few others. Here are some of the best things about this anime schedule release video.

The anime schedule release video by the Chargers took the internet by storm. It was very well received as the fans appreciate the amount of effort that was put in including the minuscule details and references!

The Most Notable Anime References!

Fans were more than pleased to see an anime-style video with multiple references to some of the most popular anime. The references were clever and funny! The opening title was in Mob Psycho’s style.

Justin Herbert is seen shooting a strong beam from his prosthetic arm which is a clear reference to Genos from One Punch Man. We could also see a reference to Netero from Hunter× Hunter.

Week 2 will feature the Chargers against the Titans and references were made to Teen Titans. Another reference was to Giorno Giovanna from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures for the match against the Vikings.

The Packers building was a reference to Capsule Corp from Dragon Ball. We also saw a Pokemon as we can see Psyduck sitting on a branch behind Gon from Hunter×Hunter.

The Patriots Coach resembles Father from the FMAB series. The Players from the Chargers also wore cloaks that resembled Akatsuki!

The Most Notable NFL References!

The 2-minute anime video also had subtle digs at other teams when they pointed out the gambling problem of the Detroit Lions. Some of the Detroit Lions were arrested for the same reasons.

The Chargers blew a 27-0 lead to the Jaguars in the playoffs last season, and this was shown as a receipt in this video. They also showed Mike McDaniel vaping.

Dak Prescott gets thrown under the bus by the Cowboys on Twitter! The Bills are also dressed like the main protagonists from the Yakuza series as they watch their failed Super Bowl!

All in all, the video was a pretty good and well-received idea. The fans loved the effort to put together such a detailed video and many of them would love to see the video in the same format next year too!
