Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Game Announces 2022 Release

Japanese games have a dedicated genre called JRPGs, and they also develop game adaptations of famous shows.

While game adaptations of popular anime generate high demand, many original games have also been successful globally. With a global fanbase, gamers outside japan avidly wait for new releases.

Rabbit & Bear Studios announced on Friday that they are developing a new title ‘Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (Hyaku Eiyūden).’ The game will be released in 2022.

A Kickstarter campaign will be started by the developers on July 27 to help them port the game to tPS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch (or any new Nintendo console). The campaign will run till August 28, with a base goal of US$500,000.

IGN also revealed a short gameplay video on their YouTube channel to build hype around the game.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be the first collaboration between Suikoden Creators Yoshitaka Murayama and Junko Kawano in 25 years.

Yoshitaka Murayama and Yoshitaka Murayama previously worked together in Suikoden 1.

Murayama will be the scriptwriter and game designer and Kawano will be the character designer.

Osamu Komuta will be the system designer and director while Motoi Sakuraba, with Michiko Naruke, will compose the music.

The game’s features include:

  • more than 100 characters
  • a guild system
  • turn-based battles of parties with up to six characters
  • The positioning of battles will differ based on the environment
  • pixel character designs and high-resolution 2.5D graphics

The game’s story is based in Allraan, a tapestry of nations shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves, and desert people who live there.

The Galdean Empire that has discovered a technology that amplifies rune-lenses’ magic is now scouring the continent for an artefact that will expand their power even more.

Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy meet during an expedition to find such an artefact, and their adventure begins.
