Edens Zero Episode 22: Release Date, Speculation, and Watch Online

Edens Zero episode 21, titled “Reset,” was released this week.

Last, we saw Shiki and Homura were sent to the Labour District to work their punishment off. Labilia pranked Rebecca by telling her that she would help her get to the Labour District.

Later, Homura was taken hostage by one of the wards in the Labour District. 

Shiki lost his temper and fought against Garrot, freeing Homura. Rebecca, Happy, and Pino made it to the labor district with Nino’s help. They met up with one of Valkyrie’s disciples, who helped them get to Shiki and Rebecca.

Episode 22 Speculations and Discussions

The title of episode 22, “My Mother, the Machine,” is revealed at the end of episode 21.

I’m sure we can expect things to get heated up now that Shiki and Homura are no longer restrained by their collars. 

First things first, Shiki is going to retake revenge on Garrot for ill-treating him and Homura, I can just feel it. 

Unfortunately, their objective is not accomplished even then. They still have to find Valkyrie and get her to join them. I think that this will be possible only after Shiki and his friends save the labor district from being annihilated.

No, Edens Zero is not on break this week. Episode 22 is set to air as scheduled, without any delay. 

Recap of Episode 21

Episode 21, titled “Reset,” starts with Shiki rescuing Homura from Garrot’s clutches as he planned on using her as his plaything. 

They both learn that tying their hands can cut off their access to their ether powers. Homura decides to question Garrot regarding Valkyrie. 

Garrot claims that he knows of her but does not agree to share any information. Instead, he sends them to Black Rock’s cave, which is one of the most powerful Stones.

Meanwhile, Nino reveals that he is one of Madame Kurenai’s men. He also tells Rebecca that he was assigned to bring in whoever mentioned the name Edens Zero as Madame Kurenai has set her eyes on the warship.

Although he is one of Madame Kurenai’s men, he agrees to help Rebecca as she impersonated a cartoon character perfectly. He grants them access to the labor district and then parts ways. 

Once they enter the labor district, they notice that an android bird is watching them. The bird then signals them to follow it.

The bird leads them to a man named Paul, who claims to be one of Valkyrie’s disciples. He then takes them to Shiki and Homura, who are fighting the Black Rock and are being overwhelmed by its strength.

Rebecca and the others arrive on time to rescue them from a swarm of insects. They then take down the Black Rock as they would earn enough metal ores to grant their freedom. 

After defeating the Black Rock, they notice that their collar has been reset back to normal. They realize that Madame Kurenai never planned to set any of her prisoners free. 

Paul uses his ether ability to get rid of their collars and then gives Homura a message left by Valkyrie.  

The episode ends with Madame Kurenai deciding to destroy the entire labor district to shut down Valkyrie’s uprising.
