Episode 69 of Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai, titled “The Clash of Love,” combined love and sadness. Maam failed to convince Albinass to give up fighting. Which resulted in Albinas’ ultimate demise.
Albinass revealed her true form, putting Maam in the backfoot. Albinass says that she doesn’t want to sacrifice herself. She wants to save Lord Haldar from his demise. She thinks that King Vearn has a way to save Lord Haldar.
Maam was unwilling to fight her, but she realized that she too has people she cares about. She stood up to her and used her final technique to fight her.
She, however, feels terrible for Albinass, thinking she is going to these extents because of her love for Haldar.

Episode 70 Speculations
In episode 70, titled “Victory and Annihilation,” Popp will be fighting an evenly matched battle against Sigma. Next episode, we will witness one of the most fan-favorite fights in the entire series.
Now that Maam has defeated Albinass with her wit and will. It is time for Popp to showcase his powers. However, Popp will face a lot of difficulty because of Sigma’s Mirror of Sahal.
It is a technique that reflects all magic, and it is going to be tough for Popp to find a way out of it.
With how episodes are in general in the last arc, the next episode will entirely focus on this battle. Popp has the color of courage, but it will take more than just courage to defeat Sigma.
Although we already know the result of this fight, it will surely be interesting to see how Popp turns the tides of the battle.

Episode 69 Recap
Albinass attacks Maam head-on with her Needle Thousand attack. Maam does not want to fight Albinass because she thinks she is doing all this because of her love for Haldar.
Albinass doesn’t want to sacrifice herself, instead, she wants to save Lord Haldar. She tells Maam that King Vearn’s supercharged dark magic may be able to save Lord Haldar.
She denies this as love as she thinks she is merely a chess piece devoid of such feelings.
Albinass continuously attacks Maam, not giving her time to stand up. Maam slowly realizes that she has to fight her because she, too, has people she cares about. She blocks one of the queen’s attacks with a shield.
She uses Lon Berk’s dark armor fist that turns into an armor completely immune to magic.
She starts to overpower Albinass, but the queen soon gets the upper hand. Since Albinass is made of Orichalcum, Maam’s attacks fail to injure her.
Maam is left with only one special technique taught by her grandmaster, but it is a risky shot. Suddenly, Albinass starts to attack from multiple sides simultaneously, not giving Maam any room to get back up.
Maam cracks one of the weaknesses of the queen. Albinass is a chess piece that rarely moves, so this mobility she is showing can be her downfall.
She turns around her face towards the sky and shatters the pieces of her armor. Albinass is caught off-guard and gets pierced by a lot of those pieces.
Albinass’ armor starts to break, but she violently attacks Maam. Maam uses her final attack Warrior Master Type Secret Attack: Tiger Shatter Fist, which makes a hole in the chest of Albinass.
Albinass accepts her defeat and regrets not being able to help Haldar.
Maam apologizes to her and regrets not being able to convince her. Albinass tells her to run away as she will explode anytime. Maam moves ahead, and Albinass is shattered into pieces.
On the other hand, Hyunckel easily defeats Hym. Maam and Hyunckel meet each other and head towards Dai when they hear a sudden explosion. The explosion is from where Popp is fighting Sigma.
Maam gets extremely worried about Popp and is not able to move from her place. Hyunckel tells her to accept her feelings and do what she feels is right.
She needs to understand that her love for Popp is different from the way she loves Dai and Hyunckel. She agrees and moves ahead towards Popp. Hyunckel heads towards Dai.
