Later Kohaku and Taiju collect the tea leaves and acquire Tochu tea. Chrome checking out the leaf finds sticky thread-like material from it. Senku mentions the thread called ‘Eucommia Elastomer’ is what they’re after, and the tea is just a bonus.
He continues to explain how the threads are helpful, being water and electric-resistant. Zen understands that’s how they’ll get the world wide web. Chrome then realizes that Senku plans to use the cord to link the world through the ocean.
