Chapter 189 will continue the science war between Senku and Stanley. There’s no time to mourn for Tsukasa and Hyoga’s death since Stanley’s army is marching towards Senku’s fortress.
As long as Senku has a working medusa with him, there are chances for Tsukasa and Hyoga to be resurrected. However, we can’t say that for sure, since we don’t know the limits of this godly device.
Meanwhile, Stanley has to fix his communication device before he can take any major steps. If nothing goes according to the plan, Senku can just put a knife under Xeno’s throat as his last resort.

5. Chapter 188 Recap
In chapter 188, Kohaku, Hyoga and Tsukasa jump into a reckless battle with Stanley’s henchmen to destroy their communication device. Their deaths are pretty much confirmed as soon as they fight, but they fight bravely so that Senku will emerge victorious.
Maya tries to trap Kohaku with a huge tree trunk, but Tsukasa saves her just in time. But sadly, even Tsukasa’s enormous strength falls short in face of the power of science. An American soldier shoots him from behind, and he collapses on the ground.
Meanwhile, Hyoga comes in the line of fire to save Kohaku from certain death. She honours their sacrifices by destroying Stanley’s communication device with a single strike of her sword.
In the next panel, Tsukasa is seen lying under a tree. He has incurred injuries that are beyond recovery, but he is still happy for their mission’s success.
He looks at Hyoga’s dead body near him, and realizes that he is going to join him soon. In his final moments, he wonders if the revival process can save him as his cellular structure is still intact.
He feels the irony of how he is entrusting his life to Senku’s science, which he had wanted to destroy not long ago. He gradually bleeds to death with a sense of regret for what he had done in the past.
