5. Chapter 182 Recap

Senku and friends advance down the Amazon river on their futuristic stealth ship that keeps them undetected from Stanley’s radar system.

Now that they have a mountain of devices to experiment on, Senku starts working on understanding the device’s mechanism. He even asks for Xeno’s help indirectly.

Xeno bluntly states that staying away from the research will give Senku a huge scientific advantage. However, he has no intentions of sharing his discoveries with Senku.

I. Blackened Diamond

After analysing, Senku and Xeno find out that each device has a blackened diamond in its core, which acts as its battery. They open many devices and find an irregularity in the blackening pattern.

Chrome spots a clear, non-black diamond, and Xeno finds cracks in it. Soon they discover many such clean diamonds, and all of them have cracks or other flaws in them.

II. Creating an Artificial Diamond

Senku concludes that the device works only if the diamond is 100% perfect. So, if they find a way to create their own diamond, they will have unlimited ‘fuel’ for the devices.
