The Jump Festa’23 event that took place on December 17 revealed a new promotional video for Dr. Stone: New World, the third season of the Dr. Stone anime. The video confirms the anime’s April 2023 premiere.
The official website for the anime released a teaser video and key visual for the anime on December 12. It was also revealed that Maaya Sakamoto will join the cast as Francois, Ryusui’s butler.
Shuhei Matsushita will direct the season at studio TMS Entertainment. The series protagonist Senku Ishigami will be voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi.
The first season of the anime premiered in July 2019 and was streamed on Crunchyroll and Funimation. It debuted on Toonami in August 2019. The second season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, premiered in January 2021.
The one-hour Dr. Stone: Ryusui anime special aired on July 10 earlier this year.
The original manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi , was launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017. The manga ended on March 7.
