Is The Batman’s Post-Credit Scene Worth Sitting Through The Credit Rolls?

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman hit the theaters not long ago and is already making buzz globally. But one question that DC fans would want to know, unlike Marvel fans, is whether the superhero movie has a mid or a post-credit scene.

The answer for both might be a tad bit disappointing. But the best part is that describing the scenes can’t even be considered a spoiler.

Let’s get one thing right out of the way – the movie does not have a mid-credits scene. So now, the only redeemable shot lies at a thrilling post-credit scene.

Thanks to Marvel, post-credit scenes have been incredibly glorious and deserve all the hype they get. These additional scenes either help set the stage for another movie or show some hilarious moments.

With The Batman being almost 3 hours long, it might not seem much for fans to sit through another 10 minutes of credits roll to catch an exciting glimpse into a potential sequel.

Unfortunately, instead of the two cool options, The Batman takes a different (and a bit disappointing) route altogether – it only shows the website that was first revealed as a part of promotions in December last year.

The additional scene is only a few blinking scenes showing The Riddle’s signature question mark and then a website – rataalada.com.

The website’s URL is supposed to be taken from ‘El Rata Alada,’ Spanish for ‘the winged rat’. The phrase was one of the clues that the villain had left for the Caped Crusader.

The website asks three riddles. Correct answers lead to a Wayne family photo, cipher, or a zip file appearing.

While solving riddles is exciting in itself, having it as an extra scene in the movie (instead of maybe a social media post) seemed to add not much value.

Ardent fans of The Batman would have presumably kept an eye out on the website eventually.

Fans can now make their own decision of whether to sit through the credit rolls or not.

Keeping the post-credits aside, The Batman and Robert Pattinson are receiving incredible reviews from critics and fans. The movie is available to watch in theaters.
