Delusional Monthly Magazine Ep 2: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

We got introduced to Taro, Goro, Jiro, and the mystery around Mo Continent in episode 8 of Delusional Monthly Magazine, titled “Issue 1: More Than Shocking! Taro’s Transformation.”

It was a pretty average first episode. The idea of this original anime isn’t something new but it might get interesting if executed well. The story revolves around Mo Continent and MOParts, mysterious artifacts found in Mo Continent.

Goro, a scientist, is out to learn more about the mystery behind the Mo Continent, an advanced civilization that was destroyed overnight. He comes across Jiro and Taro, who work in a monthly magazine.

Here are the latest updates.

1. Episode 2 Release Date

Episode 2 of Delusional Monthly Magazine will be released on Thursday, January 18, 2024. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Thursday. You can watch Delusional Monthly Magazine on Crunchyroll.

I. Is Delusional Monthly Magazine on break this week?

No, Delusional Monthly Magazine is not on break this week. The episode will be released as per schedule.

2. Episode 2 Speculations

We will meet the antagonists and learn more about the Mo Continent in episode 2 of Delusional Monthly Magazine.

In the next episode, Goro will try to blend in with his new friends. We will meet some new characters and learn more about the world. I hope the world is expanded better because it had a pretty poor first episode.

We might learn about Taro’s strange transformation in the climax of the first episode. I don’t have much hope for it, but it might prove to be something noteworthy if the world is built well.

3. Episode 1 Recap

Taro J. Suzuki is a 28-year-old part-time magazine editor who wants to get married and become a househusband. He tells his friend Nancy about it, but she tells him to focus on his work.

While heading out, he bumps into a stranger who is trying to find his way. Suzuki gets scared and runs away (after telling the address). The stranger enters a cafe and asks a child if there are any adults.

He tells the child that he has business with Monthly Moso Science’s editorial department. Taro enters the cafe and gets terrified after seeing the stranger again.

The stranger is revealed to be a scientist from Science Laboratories named Goro Sato. The child, named Jiro, tells him to order something. Jiro is an assistant at the monthly magazine.

Jiro asks Goro what he wants. Goro tells him that he is out to know the truth about Mo Continent. It was a place occupied by Motraians and was an advanced civilization that got wiped out one day out of nowhere.

While trying to learn more about it, he got his hands on some MOParts, mysterious artifacts believed to be part of the Mo Continent. He has written at large about the continent and wants it to get published.

Goro shows the MOPart to Jiro. Taro gets restless and throws Goro out. After some time, Taro’s editor-in-chief, Catherine, calls him and tells him to look into the science story.

Suddenly, the science laboratories get attacked. Taro and Jiro sneak into the laboratories to see what happened. They meet Goro, who is being chased by some people in black suits.

Goro is unable to run because of his legs. Jiro heals them using a supernatural power. While running away, the MOPart gets thrown away and touches Taro’s head, converting him into a large humanoid tiger.

He starts running around, destroying everything uncontrollably and returns back to normal after some time. The next day, Goro joins the monthly magazine as an editorial staff.
