In episode 3 of “Delicious in Dungeon”, as the party stumbles upon the living armors on the third floor, Laios is reminded of the first time he died. Everyone decided just to run past them, but this plan quickly failed as the monsters surrounded them. They assume that someone behind the door is controlling the armor, and they just have to kill them.
To do this, Laios enters that room while the others distract the monsters. In there he finds a boss monster rather than a magic user. After learning that the armors have living creatures inside them, he defeated it and later even cooked it. Before leaving the place behind, Laios took the monster’s sword since his own broke in the battle.
1. Episode 4 Release Date
Episode 4 of “Delicious in Dungeon” will be released on Thursday, January 25, 2024. It is usually released every Thursday and you can watch the new episode as soon as it is released on Netflix.

No, “Delicious in Dungeon” is not on a break this week, and episode 4 should be released as usual on the above-mentioned date.
2. Episode 4 Speculation
Laios and the others are now one step closer to saving Falin. After defeating the living armors, they move forward once again, but there’s something the others don’t know yet. They have a new little friend with them on this journey. The sword Laios picked from the boss monster had a living mollusk in it. Laios noticed it right off the bat but kept it hidden from the others. Let’s just hope it doesn’t create any problems for them down the road.
So far, nothing too problematic has blocked their way. It was just some minor inconveniences, but every time, Laios and Senshi found a way to turn these ”problems” into delicacies. Even though they might enjoy the journey, they must be fast if they don’t want their fried to become a monster’s delicacy.
3. Recap of Episode 3
Finally, after many obstacles in their way, Laios and the others reached the end of the hidden corridor. They entered the third floor, the territory of the living armors. Laios noticed that the ornament of his sword’s guard was missing. When Marcille asked him about it, he was reminded of how he got it and how he died for the first time.
They soon encountered the armors again, and of course, the first thing Laios could think about was how they would taste. Leaving that topic aside, Chillchuck suggested they should run past them since they are slow and usually don’t attack unless someone gets close.
Everyone agreed to it, but when they started running, something unprecedented happened, and the monsters surrounded them.
Seeing no other way forward, they decided to retreat for the time being. Marcille told the party that a magic user might be controlling the armors, and if they killed him, it would be over.
Everyone entered the room again, but this time, as Chillchuck, Marcille, and Senshi drew the armors attention, Laios slipped past them and entered the next room. There, he found another stronger-looking living armor. Having no choice but to fight it, he began to do so.
While fighting, he noticed something weird behind its shield and quickly realized it was an egg. This piece of information gave him a big lead against the armor. He severed its head, and when he examined it, he found out that these armors were not controlled by magic, but they were actually mollusk-like creatures in the armor.
Once the monster is defeated, he used the shield with the egg to distract the living armors and save Marcille and others. A while later he asked Senshi to try and cook the creatures now that they know they can be cooked. Marcille and Chillchuck looked at him like he was insane but finally gave up on his stubbornness.
Senshi finished cooking those creatures into a few different dishes. The whole group, even Senshi, was suspicious of the food, so they decided to let Laios try it first. The food ended up being very good in taste, so the others didn’t complain much. Before leaving, Laios took the sword of the living armor he had killed since his own sword had broken in the fight earlier.

Dungeon Meshi is a fantasy gourmet manga by Ryoko Kui. It started getting published in 2014. It is also licensed by Yen Press and published in English as ‘Delicious in Dungeon’. As of August 2022, 12 volumes have been released.
The story starts after a whole kingdom is sunk, and its survivor king promises his treasury to anyone who can defeat the culprit magician. Guilds are thus formed, and tons of adventures go on this journey.
The protagonist loses his sister to a dragon on one such journey and promises to bring her back. On his way, he and his party need to survive by cooking monsters inside the dungeon.
