Bell and Ryu reach the most challenging stage of the 37th floor in episode 8 of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? IV titled “Colosseum (Combat Arena).
Faced with an endless spawn of monsters in the most brutal battle they’ve faced yet, Bell and Ryu use their knowledge and stealth to get through most of the demons. Unfortunately, however, it does not go as smoothly as they imagined.
Ryu chooses to sacrifice her own life to guarantee Bell’s safety, but that is not something he can accept. Jumping back into danger, Bell proves himself as someone who can bring together ideals and reality.

Bell and Ryu will manage to get through the Colosseum safely next episode; they will have to go all the way around it since the bridge is now destroyed. Bell’s massive flame spell will likely buy them enough time since it has a large area of effect.
We may also see an update on the newly combined rescue party as they make their way down through each level of the Deep Floors, approaching closer each second.

Lion asks Lyla about ideals versus reality, and she doesn’t take her seriously, calling it a matter of subjectivity and not something you can have a direct answer to. Lion doesn’t expect a response like that from someone as underhanded as Lyla.
Bell and Ryu approach the Colosseum, the most dangerous area on the 37th floor, where not even the Loki familia approaches. The site has a perpetual spawn of monsters, but it is also a guaranteed exit to the 36th floor.
Ryu plans to camouflage by wearing Sheep hide and blend in with the monsters, thus avoiding the battle entirely. They hide under the hide and move through the path holding their breath in anticipation.
Luckily the monsters ignore them for now as they walk past reassuring themselves, they make it through the Colosseum, where an eternal battle continues between monsters of both low and high levels.
A vast wolf beast stands in front of them as it poses to attack, but it gets triggered by the other monsters, and they can continue safely. Suddenly, a skeleton knocks off their camouflage as they are revealed to the entire Colosseum.
Bell dashes past them, slicing through beasts as they continue attacking in a perpetual army of monster spawns. It doesn’t matter how much they take out as they continue spawning endlessly; they’re almost at the bridge.
Ryu charges up a magic spell and commands Bell to finish off the enemies on the bridge as she will care for the ones behind her. But she tricks him and uses the magic to send Bell to the other side and destroy the bridge, saving him and leaving herself behind.
She has no more reason to defend herself as her death is guaranteed in the eternal pit of monsters, but she refuses to go down without a fight and continues to her last breath. She begs Alise to flash her judgment on her as she lies down, preparing for her death.
Bell reaches in the nick of time as he blasts the beasts with a huge flame spell and jumps into the pit, saving Ryu.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon, also known as DanMachi for short, is a Japanese light novel series written by Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda.
The story follows the exploits of Bell Cranel, a 14-year-old solo adventurer under the Goddess Hestia. As the only member of the Hestia Familia, he works hard every day in the dungeon to make ends meet while seeking to improve himself.
He looks up to Ais Wallenstein, a famous and powerful swordswoman who once saved his life and fell in love with him.
He is unaware that several other girls, deities and mortals alike, also develop affections towards him, most notably Hestia herself. He also gains allies and improves himself with each new challenge he faces.
