If you’re an anime enthusiast, you may be acquainted with the popular series ‘Psycho-Pass,’ but those unfamiliar with the show may not know much about it.

‘Psycho-Pass’ is a fascinating science fiction anime that delves into the idea of a society where people’s mental states can be quantified and monitored. The show has amassed a large following thanks to its distinctive concept and well-crafted characters.

The creators of the series are now returning to write a new manga that may serve as its successor.

Writer Makoto Fukami, Ryō Yoshigami, and manga artist Natsuo Sai will launch a new manga titled ‘Police Tribe K-9’ in the Young Champion magazine’s next issue on March 26, 2024.

“POLICE TRIBE K-9” will be serialized in Young Champion from March 26th!

The manga will be written by Sai Natsuo, and the script will be written by Fukami and myself.
I was finally able to announce it. Thank you very much!

English Translation, Twitter Translate

We see a police officer holding a gun, a mysterious person, and a robotic K-9 dog in the visual of the manga.

It has a moody visual similar to ‘Psyco-Pass’ and is set in a futuristic society focusing on crime. It might be a spiritual successor to ‘Psyco-Pass’ or at least similar.

Natsuo Sai, the illustrator of Psycho-Pass: Kanshikan Kōgami Shinya manga, will illustrate this manga. The creative group Monster Lounge assists with the story, and the AAO Project is working on planning assistance.

The writers are very talented and experienced in their respective fields. Therefore, we can anticipate that the manga won’t disappoint its readers. It will likely attract both ‘Psycho-Pass’ and sci-fi fans.

However, if you’re unfamiliar with ‘Psycho-Pass,’ you can watch it on Crunchyroll. I highly recommend watching it before the manga comes out.

About Police Tribe K-9

‘Police Tribe K-9’ is an upcoming manga series that’s generating buzz for its creative team, which includes writers from the acclaimed ‘Psycho-Pass’ series. The manga is set to debut in the Young Champion magazine on March 26, 2024.

In Japan, all government functions have been privatized. Private Security Police (PSP) investigate crimes with a profit-and-loss mentality. The story revolves around Shunsaku Iwai, who runs a small private police office in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district, his mysterious partner Hannibal Lee, a former terrorist, and Dandy, a robot police dog “Animal Unit.” They work together to solve heinous crimes that only a privately run society can solve.
