2. Episode 10 Speculation
Ayanokoji has reached the end of the school year and his final battle with Sakayanagi. Since Ayanokoji is the protagonist, he is guaranteed to win the exam. However, the battle will be difficult as Sakayanagi is as intelligent, if not smarter than Ayanokoji.
I. Chess Match
As the two classes decide on the subjects, Sakayanagi is shown to be playing chess in the end. This may foreshadow Sakayanagi’s challenge to a chess match with Ayanokoji. Considering the intelligent and cunning nature of both players, a chess match would be a perfect way to show their strengths. Ayanokoji may lose this battle as Sakayanagi has sometimes shown more logical intelligence.
II. Tsukishiro’s Interference
As the new Chairman of the school and a direct friend of Ayanokoji’s dad, Tsukishiro will become a problem soon. However, Tsukishiro’s position only becomes official at the start of April. Therefore, Ayanokoji may not need to worry about Tsukishiro’s interference until the special exam ends. Without cunning students like Sakayanagi in the fray, Ayanokoji may have a difficult time against Tsukishiro.

Class C is extremely stressed after the supplementary exam, and Ayanokoji talks with Sakayanagi about it. Sakayanagi reveals that she used Class-A’s positive notes to protect Ayanokoji instead of Yamauchi because of his rude behavior during the training camp.
Tsukishiro, the new school chairman, interrupts their conversation. While striking up a friendly conversation, Tsukishiro kicks away Sakayanagi’s cane and pins Ayanokoji to the wall. Tsukishiro relays a message to Ayanokoji, telling him to leave the school immediately.
Ayanokoji wants to finish his competition with Sakayanagi before April and makes it official. The teacher explains the rules for the next competition, a paper shuffle against another class. The students choose ten subjects for each class, and only five will be picked.
The class must also contain a team captain who can be involved in all subjects. However, the captain will be expelled if the class loses the game. Ayanokoji volunteers to be the captain for this exam to redeem himself for Yamauchi’s expulsion.
Suzune also supports Ayanokoji being the captain, and he agrees. All the other classes choose their protection point holder as the captain. Class D decides to battle with Class B, which was planned by Ayanokoji so that he can battle with Sakayanagi.
Hirata and Mii have been fighting since the special exam, and Suzune tells the class to pick subjects they’re confident in. Ayanokoji talks with Horikita and asks about why she mistreats Suzune. Over time, Suzune has started to imitate her brother, which irritates her. Horikita wants Suzune to become an independent person and surpass him.
Horikita and Ayanokoji talk about girlfriends, which prompts Tachibana to stop their conversation before they curse themselves. Meanwhile, the classes decide the subjects for the upcoming exam.

Originally, Classroom of the Elite was a light novel series written by Shogo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsake Tomose. Upon seeing its popularity, Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive began its serialization back in January 2016. The manga was illustrated by Yuyu Ichino.
Later on, in July 2017, Studio Lerche adapted the Light Novel series to an anime series that completed its first season.
