Himeno gives Denji his first kiss in episode 7 of Chainsaw Man, titled “Taste of a Kiss.”

Well, Denji’s kiss tasted like a barf. It ended up being pretty disgusting. No one will ever want their kiss to be like that. However, it looks like Himeno is ready to make up for that kiss with Denji in a different way.

Denji defeated Eternity Devil after a long battle that went on for three days. Aki and Himeno speculate that Makima knows something about the rise in the number of devils related to Gun Devil, especially Denji. Still, they didn’t get any answers to their question.

Episode 7 Recap

Denji jumps down to fight Eternity Devil. As the fight goes on, it gets bloodier, and Denji loses lots of blood. Eternity devil traps him inside, inflicting an immense amount of pain.

Seeing Denji going insane, Himeno is reminded of her talk with her master, who tells her that her partners died because they were kind and straightforward. The devils know how to twist guys like that.

Himeno worries that maybe Aki will die soon because he, too, is kind. She wants him to work a private job with her, but he refuses. She now realizes that Denji might be the one who can kill the Gun Devil.

After three long days of fighting, Denji finally finished off Eternity Devil. They all come out of the hotel with a piece of Gun Devil. Himeno has organized a party to welcome all the new division four members.

She thinks that Makima knows about Denji, which is why she has been in Tokyo for so long without traveling to other countries. Akio wants to invite Makima to the party as well.

The party begins. Everyone enjoys the party when one of the devil hunters tells Aki about a new member getting killed. However, Himeno doesn’t let that spoil the mood of the party.

Denji introduces himself to everyone and is excited to have his first kiss. Makima enters the party. Denji doesn’t want Makima to hear or know anything about the kiss, so he deviates from the topic.

Aki asks Makima if she knows anything about Denji’s devil. She challenges him to outdrink her if he wants an answer. He is defeated. A fully wasted Himeno gets up and kisses Denji.

Denji is flabbergasted by the kiss. However, he soon realizes something is wrong, and Himeno vomits in his mouth. Denji goes to the washroom to clear his stomach.

The party is over, and Himeno leaves with Denji before everyone else. Denji wakes up in Himeno’s room. Himeno seduces him and gets jealous of Makima. She then asks Denji if he wants to do that (you know what I mean).

Chainsaw Man is a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was serialized from December 2018-2020 and returned in July 2022 with a second part. The series also received an anime series by MAPPA.

The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.

However, his pet devil, Pochita is killed on a mission. Denji wakes up to realize he and Pochita have become a single being, Chainsaw Man. If he does not want to get killed, he has to join the government and continue hunting demons.
