It was quite an arousing chapter with lots of sexual conversation and scenes. Denji got the chance to feel Makima and fulfill his wish completely after Power fooled him. We soon learned that Makima had a different goal behind letting him touch her bosom.

We got Aki’s backstory in this episode, which is quite shocking. Listening about what the Gun Devil did thirteen years ago and just how powerful it is indicating towards an impending apocalypse that would follow if he shows up again.

Episode 6 Speculations

The team will deal with the strange devil in episode 6 of Chainsaw Man. The target devil seems to have some interesting powers up its sleeve. It has trapped our protagonists in a loop and won’t let them go until it kills them.

We might delve deeper into Aki and Himeno’s backstory in the next episode. The devil will take some time, maybe the next episode, to deal with. It’s getting interesting as it’s not just brute force that the team needs to kill the devil.

Episode 5 Recap

Denji gets to touch Power’s breasts, but it turns out that she is using pads to enlarge her chest. Denji is shocked and can’t find any word to say to Power.

Denji is in trauma where he can’t sleep, eat, or concentrate on work. He is doing some paperwork with Makima, and Makima observes his sulking behavior. She asks him the reason for it.

He tells her about his wish to touch some boobs and how it was unsatisfactory when the wish was fulfilled. Makima reaches out for his hand and tells him to feel her and know her to enjoy the feeling, she puts his hand on her bosom.

Denji is surprised by all these sudden incidents. He falls off his chair. Makima comes up to him and asks him to do her a favor. She tells him to kill the Gun Devil. She tells him that Gun Devil showed up 13 years ago, and everyone wants it dead.

She thinks only Denji will be able to kill him. He if does it, she will make any wish of Denji come true. The Gun Devil caused huge chaos, but after the attack on America’s tower, it disappeared.

In some cold place, a boy asks his father to play with him. His father can’t, as he cares for his sick younger son. The younger son comes up to play with him. The elder brother is reluctant to play with him at first, but they both begin playing anyway, and he tells his brother to bring gloves from the house.

Suddenly, a huge way of wind destroys the boy’s house with no trace left of anyone. On the day before disappearing, Gun Devil killed 1.2 million people. She asks Denji if he can kill it, and he replies it will be a piece of cake.

Makima further adds that before killing it, they need to find the Devil and search for his pieces. Aki and Himeno find a piece after killing a giant fish. It is subtly revealed that the boy whose family got blown away was Aki.

Public Safety requests devil extermination, and the team is sent to the hotel where the devil has been spotted. Outside the hotel, they all get into an argument, and Himeno offers them that whoever kills the devil gets a kiss from her on the cheek.

Denji isn’t tempted as he has his eyes on Makima. So, she updates the offer for him and tells him that she will kiss him tongue-to-tongue. When Aki asks about the rookies, she tells him she doubts their abilities.

We get a flashback of when Himeno and Aki met for the first time, and Himeno told Aki not to die as he is her sixth partner, and all the others died because they were useless.

They can’t find any devil inside the hotel. Suddenly, a strange devil comes out from one of the rooms. The devil tries to attack Hobeni, but Himeno and Power kill it, but this is not the devil they are looking for.

While trying to search for it, they realize that they have been roaming around the same place all this time and are trapped in a loop.

Chainsaw Man is a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was serialized from December 2018-2020 and returned in July 2022 with a second part. The series also received an anime series by MAPPA.

The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.
