Denji found a way to ‘kill’ Makima in chapter 97 of Chainsaw Man titled “I, Love, Chainsaw.”
Denji was finally able to stop Makima from causing any more trouble. Now that her evil desires have stopped, it will be interesting to see what Denji is going to do next.

The chapter starts with Denji laying out a whole table of different meat dishes. From patties and fried cutlets to meatballs and mystery meat pots, he has them all. It is only on the following day when he goes out to meet Kishibe that we realize he has actually cannibalized Makima.
He claims that he ate her purely because of his love for Makima. Kishibe asked him how he could defeat Makima when she was so strong. Denji tells him that Makima perceives everyone by scent, not by their face.
All this time, she was only looking at the Chainsaw Devil, not Denji. While they are talking, one small girl bites Denji’s finger. He immediately recognizes it to be Makima. Kishibe tells him they found this child in China, and she is the control devil.
Makima is dead, but there is still some risk of Makima coming out from that child. So Kishibe is going to leave her in Denji’s care. Denji is reluctant to keep her but has to take her home unwillingly.
At night, while they are sleeping, Pochita comes into Denji’s dream and thanks him for hugging him. Pochita wants Denji to grant the Control Devil her wish too.
The Control Devil always wanted to form equal relationships with others. She was never able to do that. She too longs for a family, so he wants Denji to give her that by giving her lots of hugs.
Chainsaw Man is a hero now, and rumors are spreading that he is a high schooler now.
6. About Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man is a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was serialized from December 2018-2020 and returned in July 2022 with a second part. The series also received an anime series by MAPPA.
The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.
However, his pet devil, Pochita is killed on a mission. Denji wakes up to realize he and Pochita have become a single being, Chainsaw Man. If he does not want to get killed, he has to join the government and continue hunting demons.
